Dose:

For Adults:

Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis	200 mg 12 hourly for 10 days
Pneumonia	200 mg  12 hourly for 10 days
Acute uncomplicated gonorrhoea	200mg single dose
UTI	100mg b.d. for 7 days
Skin infections	400mg b.d. for 7 –14 days

For Children ( 5 months to 12 years)

Acute otitis media	5mg/ kg 12 hourly (max 400mg/ dose) for 5 days
Acute maxillary sinusitis	5mg/ kg 12 hourly (max 200mg/ dose) for 10 days
Pharyngitis and tonsillitis	5mg/ kg 12 hourly (max 100mg/ dose) for 5 - 10 days

Composition: Nkounter 50 / 100: Each uncoated dispersible tablet contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil equivalent to Cefpodoxime 50mg and 100mg respectively.

Nkounter 200: Each film coated contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil equivalent to Cefpodoxime 200mg.

Nkounter Syrup: Each 5 ml of reconstituted suspension contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil USP equivalent to Cefpodoxime 50mg in flavoured base q.s.

Indications: Respiratory tract infections, Skin infections, Urinary tract infections, ENT infections.
