We manufacture suppositories at our own factory located about 200kms from Mumbai. In 1994 we launched suppository products in India and since then our suppositories have been well accepted by leading Doctors and are being regularly prescribed. We are one of the few Indian companies with the capability of supplying a range of suppository and pessary (vaginal suppository) products. Our suppositories offer excellent and unique product features including superior packaging as well as lucrative prices. Hence, we have been exporting our range of suppositories to buyers worldwide for several years. Our manufacturing facility is of international standard, we hold state GMP certification from local FDA. We can also provide Free Sale Certificate and COPP issued by state FDA. We expect to obtain WHO GMP certification in the near future.

Meridian has two types of packing for the suppositories:
Bottle packing – plastic bottles, which contain 10 suppositories each, these bottles are sealed by aluminum taggers. Such bottles are further packed into an inner e-flute carton which contains 12 bottles each. Such 12 e-flute cartons are then finally packed into a master corrugated shipper. Hence each master shipper contains 144 bottle or 1440 suppositories.
Strip packing – pouch type strip packing which contains 5 suppositories each, these strips are of 4 ply material [poly + aluminum + poly + paper (inner layer-poly and extreme outer layer-paper)].Such strips are further packed into a carton which contains 2 strips each. Such 200 cartons are then finally packed into a master corrugated shipper. Hence each master shipper contains 400 strips or 2000 suppositories.

Our strip pack is superior to blister pack in the below mentioned 3 ways :

Our strip pack is superior to blister pack in the below mentioned 3 ways :
- The product i.e. suppository can be removed easily without breakage which happens many times with blister pack
- Often blister pack requires refrigeration to avoid deformity in shape, this is not the case in strip pack
- Strip pack is of 4 ply material including Aluminium which has better moisture barrier properties and hence the product is more stable as compared to blister pack which is usually of pvc
